Arrivano da Baghdad le prime notizie di un altro sacerdote caldeo rapito. Si tratta di Padre Hani Abdel Ahad, della Wisdom Chaldean Church, nel quartiere nord orientale di Suleikh. Con il sacerdote sarebbero stati rapiti 5 giovani che erano con lui. Padre Hani è nato nel 1974, ha servito per molti anni nella diocesi del Libano e solo un anno fa era tornato a Baghdad.
La richiesta di riscatto è già stata fatta arrivare al Patriarca Mar Emmanuel III Delly ed ai vescovi caldei ancora tutti nel nord dell'Iraq dopo la conclusione, ieri sera, del sinodo.
