Tra eccezionali misure di sicurezza si sono svolti oggi a Karamles i funerali di Padre Ragheed Aziz Ganni e dei subdiaconi uccisi con lui a Mosul. La tensione, come riportano alcune testimoni presenti, era forte al punto che molte fonti di informazione, compreso Baghdadhope, pur essendo già da ieri pomeriggio al corrente del programma di oggi, hanno preferito divulgare la notizia solo a funerali avvenuti.
La presenza nel piccolo villaggio, infatti, dell'Arcivescovo di Mosul Monsignor Faraj P. Rahho, che ha celebrato la messa funebre, del Patriarca Caldeo Mar Emmanuel III Delly e di quasi tutte le alte gerarchie caldee hanno infatti suggerito prudenza in una situazione potenzialmente pericolosa. Oltre al Patriarca infatti erano presenti Monsignor Mikhael P. Maqdassi (Al-Qosh) Monsignor Ibrahim Ibrahim (Detroit) Monsignor Michael Kassarji (Libano) Monsignor Jibrail Kassab (Australia) Monsignor Sarhad Y. Jammo (San Diego) Monsignor Jacques Isaac (Baghdad) Monsignor Shleimun Warduni (Baghdad) Monsignor Luis Sako (Kirkuk) Monsignor Ramzi Garmou (Teheran) altri alti prelati anche non appartenenti alla chiesa caldea e Sarkis Aghajan Ministro delle Finanze del Governo Regionale Curdo.

Per ragioni di rispetto dovuto alle vittime ed ai loro familiari non vengono pubblicate le foto dei corpi di Padre Ganni e dei tre subdiaconi.
Exceptional security reasons today in Karamles for the funerals of Father Ragheed Aziz Ganni and the three subdeacons killed with him in Mosul. Tension, as reported by some witnesses, was high to the point that many news sources, as was for Baghdadhope, even knowing about the scheduled programme for today, preferred to report the piece of news only after the funeral service.
The presence in the little village of Karamles of Mosul Archbishop, Mgr. Faraj P. Rahho who celebrated the funeral mass, of the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church, Mar Emmanuel III Delly, and of almost all the other high representatives of the chaldean hierarchy suggested to be cautious in a potentially dangerous situation.
Besides the Patriarch were also present Mgr. Mikhael P. Maqdassi (Al-Qosh) Mgr. Ibrahim Ibrahim (Detroit) Mgr. Michael Kassarji (Lebanon) Mgr. Jibrail Kassab (Australia) Mgr. Sarhad Y. Jammo (San Diego) Mgr. Jacques Isaac (Baghdad) Mgr. Shleimun Warduni (Baghdad) Mgr.Luis Sako (Kirkuk) Mgr. Ramzi Garmou (Teheran) other priests and bishops belonging to other churches and Sarkis Aghajan, Finance Ministrer of Kurdish Regional Government.
