Received by the gift of olive branches the delegation of Pax Christi arrived yesterday in the village of Karamless, about 30 kilometers southeast of Mosul. To wait for Mgr. Marc Stenger, bishop of Troyes (France) and head of delegation, Don Roberto Sacco of the Diocese of Novara, Father Sabri Anar, pastor of the Chaldean church of St. Thomas the Apostle in Sarcelles (Paris) there were Mgr. Faraj P. Rahho, Chaldean bishop of Mosul, Mgr. Rabban Al Qas, Bishop of Amadhiya and episcopal administrator of Erbil, Mgr.Shleimun Warduni, patriarch vicar of the Chaldean church, and Father Yousif Shimon Hanna and Father Salim Ganni from Karamless. The parade moved from the church of St. Barbara, situated on a hill near the villane and a famous place of pilgrimage for its inhabitants, to St. Addai the Apostle church where the bishop of Mosul spoke of the huge difficulties and dangers that Iraqi Christians are facing and thanked the bishop of Troyes and the delegation for the affection shown by their presence there. The visit of the delegation of Pax Christi ended with a tribute to the tomb of Father Ragheed Ganni, the Chaldean priest killed along with three subdeacons of his church on June 3, 2007.
