In a telephone interview to Baghdadhope Mgr. Shleimun Warduni, Patriarch Vicar of the Chaldeans, specified that the places of worship attacked today are 7 and not 6 as from the first news, and that the injured persons are two but fortunately not severly.
In Mosul, where material damages are more severe than in Baghdad, have been attacked the Chaldean Church of Saint Paul, the Nunnery of the Dominican Sisters where among the other things the reproduction of Lourdes’ Grotto has been destroyed, the orphanage run by the Chaldean Sisters, and the Chaldean Church of the Holy Spirit.
Mgr. Warduni confirmed the attacks in Baghdad of the Greek Orthodox church of Saint George in Saha al Taharriyat, that of Mar Ghorgis Chaldean church in Ghadir and that of Saint Paul Chaldean church in Zafaraniya that borders the Nunnery of the Chaldean Sisters and that is near to the Nunnery of Santa Caterina Sisters.
