A new Chaldean priest: Father Robert S. Jarjis

"Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come"

By these words, the Chaldean deacon Robert S. Jarjis announced his next ordination, an occasion of "immense joy and gratitude."

The celebration will be held on Sunday, April 27 at 9:00 am in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and will be officiated by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.

Present at the ceremony for the Chaldean church will be Mgr. Shleimun Warduni, Bishop of Baghdad, Mgr. Sarhad Y. Jammo, Bishop of the Diocese of Western United States, Mgr. Ramzi Garmou, Bishop of Tehran and Mgr. Philip Najim, the Chaldean Procurator to the Holy See, as well as priests, monks and nuns from Italy and Europe.
Sunday, April 28 at 18.00 pm, in the chapel of the Pontifical Urban College in Rome Father Robert S. Jarjis will celebrate his first Mass.

To Abuna (Father) Robert, as he will be called from today onwards, best wishes for a peaceful journey along the road he chose.
