Iraqi Prime Minister will meet the Pope in Rome by the end of July

On July 24 Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki will meet in Italy Silvio Berlusconi and Pope Benedict XVI in a visit to Europe that will include a stop in Germany and the purpose of which is to strengthen the ties with Iraq and extend cooperation in the political, social and economic fields.
It is expected that during the meeting with Pope Benedict XVI the topic of the situation of the Christian community in Iraq will be discussed.
