Ratified by the Parliament of Kurdistan the electoral law for the elections due to renew it on next May 19. The seats reserved for minorities rise from 10 to 11 with the addition of one reserved for the Armenian community, 5 to the Turkmen and 5 for the Christian consisting of Chaldeans, Assyrians and Syriacs.
With regard to this community an amendment has been approved that changes its denomination from "components" "Chaldeans, Assyrians, Syriacs" to "component" "Chaldean Assyrian Syriac" pointing out, with the use of the term in the singular and the disappearance of the commas, the consideration of the community as a single body
