In response to the violence against the Christian community in Mosul the Council of Bishops of Niniveh issued a document fixing the points of the protest and that will be read in every church:
1. Organization of marches and peaceful protests on Sunday, February 28th, a date that coincides with that of the second anniversary of the abduction of Msgr. Faraj P. Rahho, the by then Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul.
2. Suspension of the Eucharistic celebrations on Sunday, February 28th and invitation to the faithful to pray for peace and security.
