A visit to the Mother Church of Constantinople was held on Tuesday, April 30, by the Patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldeans, Cardinal Mar Louis Raphaël I Sako, whose seat is in Iraq.
The Patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldeans and his escort was welcomed by the clerics of the Patriarchal Court at the Propylaea of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew welcomed The Patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldeans in the Throne Room, where they had a long conversation about the Catholic and Orthodox relations, and especially about the situation of Christians in the Middle East.
In the end, they exchanged commemorative gifts.
