The Chaldean Archbishop of Erbil, Bashr M. Warda, celebrated on September 21 the Mass of ordination of two new priests in the complex dedicated to the Apostles Addai and Mari and where the major Chaldean seminary is located.
In the presence of families and friends but also of Emile Nona, the Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul, of the Syriac Orthodox bishop of Mosul, Mor Nicodemus Dawood Sharaf, and of the bishop of Ninive and Dohuk of the Ancient Church of the East, Toma Eramia, the two young men were ordained priests.
Father Nashwan Younan is from Shaqlawa and Father Sand Basel is from Ankawa.
In the days after the ordination the two young priests celebrated their first Mass: Father Sand Basel in the church of Saint Joseph in Ankawa and Father Nashwan Younan in that of San Qardagh in Erbil.
