The names of the two young priests ordained in Kirkuk on July 16, according to what referred to Baghdadhope by Msgr. Louis Sako (Chaldean Archbishop of the city), are Fr. Qais Momtaz Habib and Aymen Aziz Hormez. Both attended the Chaldean seminary of Saint Peter and got the baccalaureate in Theology.
Fr. Aymen got married two years ago as the Chaldean Catholic church can have married priests on condition that their marriage dates back to before their ordination.
Fr. Qais is going to be back in Rome to study Dogmatic Theology.
According to Msgr. Sako in four weeks four permanent diacons will be ordained.
"These ordinations" are the prelate's words "are a sign of hope for the Christian community because to have good parsons is a push to stay and hope."
