Ecumenical Prayer yesterday in the Latin Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Baghdad. The meeting devoted to prayer but where, as told by Mgr. Jacques Isaac to Baghdadhope, many words were obviously directed to the case of the kidnapping of Mgr.Faraj P. Rahho in Mosul, of whom there are no news and to whom, this is what worries more, has been so far confirmed the kidnappers did not permit to talk to the negotiators, despite explicit requests.
The meeting yesterday was attended by several prelates: His Beatitude Cardinal Mar Emmanuel III Delly, patriarch of the Chaldean church, accompanied by Mgr. Jacques Isaac and Mgr. Andraous Abouna, Mgr. Avak Asadorian, bishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church and secretary of the Council of the Leaders of Christian Churches in Iraq, Mgr. Jean Sleiman, Latin bishop of Baghdad, Mgr. Francis Assisi Chullikat, Apostolic Nuncio in Jordan and Iraq and Mgr. Michael Crotty, from the Vatican nunciature in Iraq too. Among the presents there was also Mr. Abdallah Naufali, head of the affairs of non-Muslims of the Iraqi government who the site Ankawa.com reiterated as Mgr. Rahho should be considered as a messenger of peace because bearer of the peaceful values of Christianity and therefore should be released immediately.
